Sara Blindauer, the acting schools LA’s Office Administrator just booked 3 days of work with UCLA Medical School’s Standardized Patients program. She and 5 other actresses are playing a patient that help medical students diagnosis illnesses and have a better doctor/patient relationship.
In celebration of the positive additions at TVI Actors Studio – New York; and to introduce our wonderful new staff members, the acting school is hosting a pizza party for all TVI Members! Come to TVI New York, get to know your consultant better, meet the TVI staff, and share industry/TVI information. . There will be lots of pizza so bring your appetite.
Consultants Leigh Feldpausch, Lauren Milberger, and Mackenzie Thomas will be welcoming their members on Thursday, March 5th at 6:30pm. In addition, TVI founder Alan Nusbaum will be flying in from TVI in Los Angeles.
New York actress and TVI Actors Studio course advisor/consultant/career coach Leigh Feldpausch just was the principal actress in the popular European Yoghurt commercial (yogurt for us in the States). Spot was cast in Manhattan by cast by Greencard Pictures. Leigh can also be seen in the upcoming feature film “Offspring” directed by Andrew van den Houten.
Longtime TVI member, Kelly McCracken isn’t ill. He did however did book a bunch of of episodes of General Hospital. Rumor has it that his performance kills…a couple of regulars from the long running ABC soap. He wants to give a shout out to Mark Teschner and Gwen Hillier (the casting directors) who called him in for this role. The episodes will run sometime soon. Kyle Templin thought he was JUST taking a class. A class with Scott David on How to Audition for Prime Time TV. Scott is a casting director with April Webster Casting. Turns out Scott calls him in for a co-star on the CBS drama Criminal Minds, and he booked it! It filmed this week.
I am sure a lot of you have either spoken to or been in the presence of our lovely new receptionist Jennifer Boarini. Jenn is from Chi town (Chicago, Ill, to you who are not in the know) and has made the move west to pursue her career in acting. She is an active woman who has run the Cal State Triathalon and the Nike Human Race with one million other runners! Go girl!
For many TVI Actors Studio members, you may recall Seneca Johnson who assisted in administration and starred in the film “Sophisticated Romance”. Well now that she is back at work as an actress bringing her beautiful daughter Klarke with her as her buddy.
Adeel Ahmad, a full time acting student for TVI, is currently appearing in Voices from Guantanamo, a collection of performed poems about prisoners at Guantanamo Bay. “Voices from Guantanamo takes on an important aspect of the current political situation and presents it for the audience, hopefully opening a dialogue with and for the viewers about the realities of the world in which they live. In this way, the play is incredibly powerful.”–Kelly Aliano, nytheatre.com
