Coming this Tuesday to TVI Actors Studio in New York, the acting school presents a workshop with Michal Zecher.
She has been working on 23 pilots this season! Yes, you read that correctly, 23! She works on the series regular roles for all of the Primetime pilot comedies and dramas as well as the maintenance on the current CBS Primetime lineup.
This summer CSI:NY will be actually coming to NY so Michal will be working on guest stars and co- stars for that as well! She is excited to meet talented and creative actors!
TVI teacher Stephen Ruddy workshops his new show Checkov’s Gun this Wednesday night at UCB. Tickets are $5 Checkov’s Gun features a rotating cast of people including 30 Rock‘s Scott Adsit and Arden Myrin. Stephen Ruddy teaches Commercial Improv at TVI’s New York Studios.
The pinnacle of New York casting directors, Pat McCorkle spent the weekend in London at the “American Casting Director Series” sponsored by TVI Actors Studio. The monthly workshops offers London Actors the opportunity to work wit the finest Film, TV and Theatre casting directors from New York City and Los Angeles.
The UK based actors, many alumni from the Conference of Drama Schools, such as RADA, LAMDA, Mountview, Central among others had the unique opportunity to work with Ms. McCorkle on Film scripts, receiving suggestions and tips to provide a better audition whether the actor was to audition in New York, Los Angeles or London.
Each month, the Acting School, TVI, offers these workshops to qualified actors in the Westend of London.
Ms. McCorkle was able to share her depth of knowledge with the participating actors and auditors that were observing. You can see her TV and Film credits on IMDB, and her Theatre credits on Internet Broadway Database.
Pat McCorkle also teaches several dynamic acting classes exclusively at TVI Actors Studio in New York City.

After taking Christy Dooley’s 7-week Soap Opera Technique class at TVI Actors Studio in Los Angeles, Liz Loza, one of our very own acting career coaches, booked a role on The Bold and The Beautiful.
She played the part of a CBS Page opposite Jennifer Gareis (Donna Logan) and Alley Mills (currently playing Pamela Douglas on B&B, but best known for her role as Kevin Arnold’s mom on The Wonder Years). The cast and crew loved her work and we’re hoping she’ll be back for more episodes!
Broadway actress and TVI Career Coach MacKenzie Thomas along with TVI’s newest member of the NY office Bianca LaVerne Jones. Biana recently appeared in Paula Vegel’s World premiere of “A Civil War Christmas” at the Long Warf Theatre. A graduate of North Carolina School of the Arts, the SUNY Purchase Acting Conservatory and attended the Yale School of Drama.
Mackenzie originally from North Carolina, She has appeared on Broadway in “Mamma Mia!” and on the National Tour as Ali. She has also been on the TV programs “Grease: You’re The One That I Want” and NBC’s “Fame”. A graduate at Northwestern University with a Vocal Performance/Opera & Certificate in Musical Theatre.

After many requests TVI Actors Studio has put together a monthly series of hands-on workshops with some of America’s most prominent casting directors from New York and Los Angeles. The London series starts the 23rd of May with New York Casting Director, Pat McCorkle.
The events take place at London’s Actors Centre where Ms. McCorkle has three decades of casting Broadway and West End Theatre, major Feature Films and American TV series.

TVI Member, Andre Diniz, has landed a starring role in the SAG short film, “THE TEACHER.” The film centers around the character, Marian, a community college Latin teacher, who has regrets about not living life to the fullest, and who is unaware that she is being tested by the gods as she tries to reach out to a particular troubled student, Conner (played by Andre!) This will mark Andre’s third leading film role in the past few months–Congrats, Andre!

Australian and American actor Anthony Brandon Wong and TVI’s founder Alan S Nusbaum take a moment prior to the start of Anthony’s popular scene study class at TVI Actors Studio in Los Angeles.
You may recognize Anthony Brandon Wong from “Navy NCIS: Naval Criminal Investigative Service”, “Samurai Girl”, Mask of the Ninja, Secrets of the Forbidden City, “The Unit”, “All Saints”, and The Matrix Revolutions just to name a very few.
In addition to his acting and teaching, Award-winning actor and singer Anthony Brandon Wong aka Anthony Brandon Young teams up with actress/singer Jennifer Norkin (Ugly Betty, Entourage, Strong Medicine, I’m in Hell) in “Taking Chances”, their dynamic new cabaret show at Hollywood’s M Bar on Friday 5th June at 8pm (doors open at 6.30pm).
